Strengthening wildlife research, management and conservation
Wildlife Institute of India (WII) is an autonomous Institution under the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change (MoEFCC), Government of India. It is an internationally acclaimed Institution that works towards strengthening wildlife research, management and conservation through training, research and advisory activities relating to wildlife and natural habitats.
The institute is actively engaged in research across the breadth of the country on diverse issues and execute various activities through regular programs and thematic projects. These programs and projects involve engagement of diversity of manpower and experts towards accomplishing the objectives and effective outcomes.
Given that the requirements vary from Interns to Subject Matter Specialist with varying qualifications and payment structure, it is necessary to be guided by a duly approved policy to ensure level playing opportunities, uniformity, transparency and ease of doing business for all concerned.
The vision of Recruitment and Placement Cell is to establish a smooth, unbiased and automated processes towards recruitment of WII project personnel, as well as to provide useful career opportunity information to the larger researcher community of WII. The cell also aims to create a strong base for IT infrastructure to reduce manual processes handling researchers' recruitments.
